As you know, Sitecore focuses its efforts on creating the best content management system available, thereby recommending taking a best of breed approach to applications related to your website visitors experience. That being said, Sitecore does offer a number of modules both built by the Sitecore development team, as well as modules built by the Sitecore developer community. The modules built by the developer community, after being tested by Sitecore, become part of the Sitecore Shared Source Library and available to the Sitecore client base. There are more than 50 of these modules available.
Today Sitecore announces the availability of the Community Server Integration module, available in the Shared Source Library.
The module allows users from Sitecore to log into community applications and community users to access Sitecore web site for content.
The integration module also provides an API layer to get data from community server as well as a few examples on how to get started. This is all available when you check out the content from the trunk of the project room.
